Welcome to the California Chapter of USA Cares, Inc.
California is a diverse military based state that holds more than 2 million veterans, 168,000 active duty and 32 bases. In times of conflict or distress, our service members are deployed overseas and across the United States in support of combat and humanitarian operations. Since the 9/11 attacks, the California military men and woman have mobilized nearly 40,000 times in the fight against global terrorism.
Our military also supports local civil authorities and communities across California, protecting our communities, state and nation. We at USA Cares believe that our men, woman and families should not be forgotten.
USA Cares has provided over 11 million dollars to over 66,000 men, woman and families across our great nation and the California Chapter’s mission is to support our state, continue these efforts and is here to make sure that we do our part. We are dedicated to raising funds to help our California families during and after their transition in and out of the military.
Our California Chapter is here to give a hand up by way of volunteering, acknowledging our brave men/woman and supporting these soldiers and veterans in need. We are here to raise funds, welcome volunteers, educate our communities and give the respect and honor to those who fought and/or continue to fight for our freedom and future.
The California Board meets once a month, on the first Wednesday of every month in San Diego, California. If you would like to volunteer, donate or simply find out more about our amazing chapter in the USA Cares, Inc. organization, please email me at: SanDiego.CA@usacares.org or connect with me on LinkedIn at: https://www.linkedin.com/in/freitasnatalie
